OUR PRINT METHODS
We offer three print methods: Flat (digital) printing, Letterpress and Foil Stamping
Flat Printing
Flat, or commonly known as digital printing, is the most economical print method that we offer. With digital printing, we are able to offer a full range of colors on a variety of cardstocks. We offer digital printing on our 118lb house cardstock. You can also upgrade to the 184 lb house cardstock.
Letterpress Printing
Letterpress is a relief printing technique which involve use of an antique printing press. Our presses are between 60 and 100 years old. With letterpress printing, a unique plate is created for each project with the unique design. The ink is mixed by hand and applied to the press. Each sheet of cardstock is pressed against the plate, leaving a physical impression of your design on the paper that you can see and touch! We offer letterpress print on our double-thick 236 lb house paper.
Foil Stamping
Make it shine! Foil stamping is a similar to letterpress printing. It requires that we create a plate with your unique design. Instead of ink, the cardstock is pressed against foil and a heat plate, which physically transfer the design onto the paper. We offer a wide variety of standard foil colors, including Gold, Rose Gold, Silver, Matte White and Holographic foil. Custom orders can be made for foil in any color. Foil stamping is the preferred printing method for light colors on dark papers (e.g., white on black) because it truly pops against the dark surface.
OUR COLORS
Your order includes any ink color and envelope color of your choice. Please refer to the below formula guide for the options that we offer.
Can’t find the perfect ink color? We also offer custom ink colors that are hand-mixed to perfection. For letterpress only, a flat fee of $50 applies to custom ink color requests.
Foil stamping is available in various colors.
For custom colors and foil stamping option, just let us know in your order form what you have in mind.
OUR EXTRA DETAILS
We offer an assortment of extra details that can be added to your order. If you are interested in any of the below options, please leave a note in your order form and we will be in touch with the details.
Addressing
We can digitally print your guest and return address, so that you don't have to worry about hand writing them. Script fonts are available.
We also offer handwritten calligraphy. Calligraphy is done by hand with a nib and fountain ink (where the nib is dipped into the ink and pulled up to write on the envelopes). Our calligraphers offer a series of different writing styles. Due to the manual process and time involved, handwritten calligraphy is more expensive than digital printing and will add a bit of time to the production process. Calligraphy starts at $3.25 per envelope for the guest address portion only.
Wax Seal or Vellum Wrap
Add a wax seal or vellum wrap to your design. Wax seals are available in dozens of color. We offer both an array of house designs or can create a custom wax seal design. Vellum wraps are available without printing or they can be printed to match your design.
Postage
With modern postage, we offer the economical options that are currently available at the post office.
We vintage postage, we offer postage stamps that are no longer available through the post office. All of our vintage postage stamps were originally issued by the postal service and are no longer available through the post office, but remain valid to send out mail. Some of our vintage postage stamps date back to the 1920, so they are incredibly special and beautiful! Vintage postage stamps can cost between 3 to 5 times the value of the stamps (e.g., for 58 cents of postage, it could cost $1.74 or more depending on the specific stamps that we use in your design).
Envelope Liner
We can add an envelope liner to your design. We offer a series of predesigned envelope liners or can create something from scratch for you.
Assembly & Mailing
Let us assemble and mail your cards directly to your guests and you. We are pros at double checking your address list, stuffing each envelopes, ensuring that any ribbons or postage stamps are adhered perfectly and so on!
