Simple and Elegant Backyard Wedding

Simplicity was the heart of these unique wedding invitations. Our couple wanted a simple and modern aesthetic to celebrate their union. The bride looks nature and is drawn to wildflowers and tree leaves. An important aspect of the wedding celebration is that it was an introduction and union of two cultures: the groom is from a southern family and the bride is from Colombia. To celebrate our couple, we designed paper goods that featured a minimalist layout and typography. To tie in natural elements into the suite that did not distract from its clean aesthetic, we used a neutral color scheme and incorporated sketches of Elm tree leaves. The sketches were created from pictures of leaves of the actual Elm Tree that stands in the courtyard where Will proposed to Natalia.

Given that the bride’s family is in Colombia and would be traveling to America for the wedding, we created Spanish version or dual language designs of all of their paper goods (save the dates, invitations, menus, programs, etc.). One of the highlights of the reception was the handmade fans that served as escort cards. These fans were made and imported from Colombia. They were a beautiful celebration of the bride’s heritage. Each fan had the guest's name written on them, making them both practical and beautiful keepsakes for the guests. Overall, it was an honor for Little Postage House to be a part of such a special celebration. We loved creating custom paper products that told the couple’s unique story.
